Our Heritage in Engineering
Rogers Barnes began not as a startup, but as an engineering lineage. The company traces its roots to 1998, when aerospace engineer Vladimir Shchukin — author of more than a dozen patents in rocket propulsion, helicopter-based salvo systems and anti-tank missile technology — founded a small engineering bureau in Eastern Europe.
After decades spent at the frontiers of aerospace and defense, he shifted his focus to civilian innovation: pipeline diagnostics, non-destructive testing and material integrity systems. By the early 2000s, the bureau became a trusted contractor for major energy companies, delivering intelligent in-line inspection devices operating across thousands of kilometers of critical infrastructure. This period shaped a core principle that still defines the company today: precision born in aerospace can transform industrial reliability.
Today, Rogers Barnes is an international R&D company developing technologies intended to work in unfriendly, real-world environments: low and turbulent wind, unstable temperatures, moisture, vibration and fluctuating loads. We combine the rigor of the Soviet engineering school with the vision and sustainability of modern innovation.
